Hi and welcome to Bournemouth Shorinji Kempo self defence Club.
My name is Ian Hart and I am the Branch Master of the Bournemouth Club.
Shorinji Kempo is a worldwide martial arts organisation with over 1.7 million practising members.
The Bournemouth Club was first established in 1970 and the Littledown Centre has been our home since 1995.
The purpose of Shorinji kempo is to develop students in three main areas Self Defence, Physical fitness and Personal development.
Shorinji Kempo techniques are unique as they exploit the attackers weak or vital points to your advantage, making it an ideal self-defence system for all ages, abilities and levels of fitness.
Although training is taken seriously, Shorinji Kempo encourages a friendly atmosphere where all instructors are approachable and willing to pass on their knowledge to students.
We train twice a week:-
Mondays are generally a more advanced and technical session.
Fridays training tends to be a mixed junior (from 13 years) and senior session with some families training together.
Adult and Juniors 8 to 12 Years 2Riversmeet Leisure Centre. 6.00pm to 7.00pm
This is a safe environment and is fully matted. Instructors are DBS checked.
Beginners will always receive a warm welcome and the first lesson is completely free.
So please have a look through our website and if you have any further questions just email me at [email protected]
